Patrick of Coonawarra Méthode Skinny Riesling 2023

Billed as a ‘trial to take the traditional crisp, fresh style of Riesling and give it body and texture’, this is now the third rendition of the wine, and it seems that the trial has been a great success. In some respects the wine is reminiscent of those from the Jura, with pronounced savoury characters like nuts and cheese, while still retaining its Rieslingness with jasmine, chalk, lemon and apricot. The palate is bright, salty and moreish, and the wine goes really well with food.
