Pazo Cilleiro Rias Baixas Albarino 2020

Share

For those of you not brushed up on the wines from Spain, Albarino from Rias Baixas is one of this country’s most fashionable white wines. As a consequence it is also generally not cheap, which makes this particular version worth hunting down. Pale golden in colour, it delivers everything you want from young Albarino – concentrated and complex exotic nectarine and floral fruits with a delightful saline tang. It’s then more savoury in the mouth with pithy fruits driven hard by biting acidity – acid freaks will love it – which support a youthful finish. Crack it open with a mixed seafood platter.
