Penfolds Reserve Bin A Chardonnay 2024

Share

A perfectly poised Adelaide Hills Chardonnay as refined as you might expect and driven by fine-edged acidity reflecting its cooler origins and vintage. Nectarine, white peach, ripe stone fruits and citrus aromas. A wine of line and length with bright, tangy acidity in charge and filled with subtle notes of creamy nuttiness and peach custard amid flavours of green apples, citrus, grapefruit and quince. It’s coiled and tight and promises a slow release of complexity over time. There is some sensitive winemaking employed here with eight months in French oak barriques (50% new) and it’s welcomed in allowing the fruit to reveal its inner beauty.
