Dehydrated strawberry, warm sand, salted plum, five spice, and some sweet pops of cherry cola and crushed herbs at the fore. A swirl of the glass unlocks a tilled earth note along with an attractive savoury salinity sitting beneath. It’s bright and intense through the palate, which is packed with morello cherry, nutmeg, sarsaparilla, and dried cranberry. All of this is wrapped up in ribbons of chalky tannins and cherry drenched acidity to bring frame and carry to a long finish. Excellent depth, clarity and complexity here, with structure to boot. A very good Grenache at one year old with a bright future ahead.
