Petaluma Hanlin Hill Riesling 2025

Share

A classic release from a low-rainfall, low-yielding year with consistently warm and dry conditions. Mandarin segment, sweet Meyer lemon, candied lemon peel, kumquat, quince jelly and persimmon-like aromas lead the charge, with baking spices adding interest. It has a comparatively open-knit feel relative to previous releases, though not necessarily to a fault. The palate follows suit — less racy and taut than prior vintages, while still weighing in at a breezy 12%. Good intensity: mandarin, lemon rind, lemon juice, wet stone and citrus blossom. The finish is both grippy and bright with ample acidity drawing solid length. A lovely release for drinking in the shorter term.
