This blend of Cabernet and Malbec has always worked well in the Clare. In this case, the fruit has been sourced from Clare and Polish Hill River and is a mix of 70% Cabernet and 30% of the fleshier, punchier Malbec. It was all naturally fermented and then had 12 months in seasoned oak. Captures the essential aromas of blackcurrant with a plummy, mulberry floral influence. The palate is typically generous and plush, with bundles of ripe dark fruits balanced with some fine structural tannins and a very subtle influence of oak. It’s drinking really well now, but will certainly handle cellaring over the next decade.
