Provenance Shiraz Western District 2019

Share

It is much lighter than the Geelong Shiraz in terms of aromatic intensity, but it still has great structure and freshness. We’re entering the territory of secondary and tertiary characters, so there are lots of cooking spices and savoury characters. There is a bit of cinnamon, red earth, paprika, nutmeg, slightly smoked, and charcuterie, with a certain bloodiness to it. Prunes and raisins, a touch of blood orange. Despite the more considerable structure of its puckering tannins, the wine has a sleek aspect.
