Despite the nine years on its shoulder, the fruit is vibrant and on song. It almost reminds me of when my son loves to stuff his mouth with fresh blackberries, cherries, and blueberries. Then, the sophistication of age shows itself with the sweet tobacco and cedar, polished leather, and olive tapenade. The tannins are still in a splendid form, as for the acidity. I envisage that this wine will last for another decade without any trouble.
