Richard Hamilton Little Road McLaren Vale Shiraz 2022

I’m always keen to review a wine without knowing the price – not always possible – and I did so here. When the price was revealed, you could, as they say in the classics, have knocked me over with a feather. This is absolutely cracking value – get on board. An inky maroon/purple hue, the nose is utterly gorgeous and compelling; chocolate, mulberries, plums, blackberries, mocha, licorice, coffee beans, cloves, soy and beef stock notes on the nose. With an alluring creamy texture, it is ripe and approachable, although will easily sail through a decade in the cellar. Plush, generous and ripe, this is simply delicious drinking. A cracker.
