Riposte Épée Pinot Noir 2021

Share

A new addition to the always very well priced Riposte label, founded by Tim, Dale and Nick Knappstein. These are distinctly modern expressions of the Adelaide Hills where Tim Knappstein has a long history, including being the first to plant vineyards at Lenswood.  This is another wine that shows the strength of the 2021 vintage in South Australia with super levels of drinkability and flavour.

Bright light cherry red in colour, it opens up with an explosion of mixed berry aromas – raspberry, boysenberry and cranberry with gently savoury spice in the background. The palate is then deliciously fleshy and supple with layers of silky dark fruit supported by soft tannins before finishing with an attractive herbal twist. This vibrant Pinot Noir is made for a good time, not a long time, and will provide Pinot fans with plenty of immediate drinking pleasure.
