This is no shrinking violet. Here is a Sauvignon Blanc with panache; abundant in passionfruit curd, fennel, aloe vera and kaffir lime. On the palate The Foil advocates body positivity – embracing its curves in a style that is rounder rather than austere and lean. A citrus oil fullness that is mouth coating yet propped up by a beam of sustained acidity. It is attractively textured and celebrates the varietal’s herbal disposition with thyme, lemongrass, and sugar snaps. A most pleasant passionfruit sorbet finish to a wine with undeniable mass appeal. Sauvignon Blanc that will appease even the varietal naysayers.
