Crisp, crunchy acidity is the byword here. It’s a cool climate signature that works hand in hand with lovely aromatics and a purity of citrus fruits. An apple and citrus blossom perfume fills the glass alongside green apple and lime zest. It’s an intense start to a wine moulded around a resounding lime and lemon acid tang and concentration of fruit. Injects grapefruit pith, green apple, lime zest, with a touch of ginger, kaffir lime leaf-like savouriness and a developing texture mid palate. Plenty of drive and energy on display here, and that steely resolution on the finish is your insurance policy for future age-ability. Tasmanian Riesling a quiet achiever? Think again.
