RockBare The Clare Valley Riesling 2021

Share

Reaches deep into its regional DNA to present a riesling that is steely, brimming in lime juiciness and mineral acidity. That’s a recipe for a classic style Clare riesling right there, and it’s succinctly encapsulated in this single vineyard wine. Brings a lovely, subtle fragrance of apple blossom, lime zest, grapefruit and spiced orange peel. Raises the ante considerably when you taste that heady spice wedged neatly between citrus and spiced apple that brings with it a mid-palate smoothness. Runs long, driven by a tight mineral acidity, the latter is a real feature of the wine, gifting it not only length but a bright liveliness. So, all up, a ripper Clare riesling for the price.
