Rosenthal The Collector Chardonnay 2022

This is a marvelous example of what can be achieved with astute winemaking and a mature vineyard in Mount Barker. It’s a striking wine displaying a delicate palate, yet one with layered complexity and power. Gets the usual handpicking, whole bunch and wild yeast treatment with regular lees stirring which bring further complexity and richness into the palate. It also has a lovely oatmeal and roasted almond character with a trace of butterscotch.
