Russell & Suitor Isabella Chardonnay 2025

A considerable percentage of the quality Chardonnay grown in Tasmania finds its way into the Island’s wonderful sparkling wines, so it is pleasing to see what can achieve, sans bubbles. A pale gleaming yellow/gold, this is a fresh, lean and rather floral style. We have notes of citrus, oystershells, peaches and lemons. There is a touch of nutmeggy oak, which has been deftly handled. The wine has a line of good acidity and impressive length with a seductive texture. Will make delicious drinking over the next three to five years, longer if needs be.
