Seppeltsfield Touriga 2020

A variety most famously used for fortified wines in Portugal but which shows its versatility in this excellent joven style. It’s been made as a fleshy fruit-driven wine capturing the essential fruit characteristics of this variety. There is no oak influence here and the plummy, cherry aromas are most appealing plus a little peppery influence adding an aromatic lift. The palate is plump and fruity with fine chalky light tannins. Love the high perfumed notes and the bright cherry palate. It’s also been made in the restored 1888 Gravity Cellars.
