Sigurd Reserve Semillon 2021

Share

Boxer meets ballerina—the Sigurd Reserve Semillon is a representation of style rather than varietal. Key lime pie, canned pineapple, cheese rind and biscotti. It’s worked in all the right ways. The 110-year-old vines deliver a painfully dense and concentrated palate, yet somehow the wine remains elegant and in check. The handsome black sheep of the family. A palate not shy of texture or personality. Pear skins and lemon butter are intertwined with a pulsing vein of waxy, salty finesse – you’d have no idea it’s Semillon if tasted blind. Highly recommend decanting before drinking. Match with roast beer chicken.
