Silver Lining Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2021

Share

Here we have a charming 2021 Shiraz which is a style that the Adelaide Hills does so well. Rather than being the kind of Shiraz that bowls you over with stacks of flavour, this wine is all about balance and finesse, both of which it has in spades. It opens up with a liberal dose of fruit aromas – cherry, blackberry and cherry pip with touches of dried cranberry and clovey spice with old oak adding gentle support. The palate walks a more savoury line with spicy violets and meat over more blackberry fruits with solid length to finish. It’s a fun bistro red with plenty to keep you interested over a little French fare – maybe Coq au vin or steak tartare.
