This comes off the Riversdale Vineyard in Frankland River. It is a very good example of this vintage which produced quite linear and angular wines, yet with classic Bordeaux structure and character. Deep dark berry nuances throughout then a slightly leafy blackcurrant and ironstone rust emerges. The tannins are firm, and fine, and the oak well managed. A wine of great Cabernet structural integrity with so much cellaring time. Leave it a few years before trying it, because like all the 2019s I have tasted they benefit with a little extra time in bottle.
