Smithbrook Chardonnay 2023

Pemberton, single vineyard. Pemberton is cooler than Margaret River, yet the warm, dry conditions of 2023 saw lower yields from these Gin Gin vines. A subtle nose of light spritzy lemon notes, white blossom and a little wet chalk. The palate follows through with lifted lemon blossom, lemon granita shavings, lime pip grip and a little bath salt. Acidity is lively, and this is a perfect Chardonnay for those who veer from oak and the character of those larger-than-life Chardonnays. Light and refreshing summer fun, and a great afternoon tea-time vino that doesn’t tread too heavily.
