Just as it did with riesling, the Eden Valley provided ideal growing conditions for this variety in 2021. It’s a lighter style to what is the standard slightly overt style for this variety, yet there remains that gris texture with flavours of pear and apple crumble
and a decent splash of citrus for tang. A deeper vein of riper, slightly stone fruit flavours gradually emerge. This is a Gris that I could actually seek a second glass. Or a third.
