Sorby Adams The Parish Hall St Aidan’s Barossa Shiraz 2021

Share

Another in the trio of tributes to Great Uncle Keith and his parishes, here we have a wine which spent twenty-four months maturing in a mix of French and American oak hogsheads. The fruit here hails from the Tanunda region, in particular the sub-regions of Bethany and Rowland Flat. An opaque maroon hue here, the wine is beautifully fragrant, with notes of violets and other florals, cassis, leather, soy, blackberries, cold tea, aniseed and mocha. There is good focus through to a gentle fade showing a soft texture combined with satiny tannins. This is a wine of medium length, which will drink impressively over the next six to ten years.
