Sordo Barolo Villero 2017

Share

Another of the more esteemed Sordo trio from the Castiglione Falletto commune, this tells us so much about the individuality of each of the vineyards. You could be forgiven to suggest that this is a Barolo for Burgundy fans, with its more delicate approach, the fruits toward crimson rather than darker, while typical characters of dried flowers remain. The next set of interplays are more unique, fleeting wafts of charcoal, dare one says cooked fish, and certainly a crushed rocky note. Intensely savoury yet still very pretty, the palate is complex and complete. Lots to get around here, and worth every moment as you do so.
