Squitchy Lane Pinot Noir 2021

Heady aromas of fresh strawberries and homemade raspberry jam, erupt from the glass. Wait a few moments and they become more sultry – red liquorice, pomegranate, fennel seeds and red earth. Beautifully savoury on the palate with tangy redcurrants, rhubarb and roast meat jus. The tannins are chalky and just slightly chewy, suggestive of the 10% whole bunch fermentation. Bright, well-integrated acidity leads to an earthy pomegranate seed rasp on the finish. Pair with mushroom and quail risotto.
