St Hugo Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Share

When the planets align, not even a nasty black frost in November could impede what turned out to be an excellent vintage in Coonawarra. And of course, the benchmark expression from St Hugo pretty much says it all. I just loved this marvellous example of Coonawarra cabernet from the time I plonked my nose into those seductive alluring aromas. This is what the variety is all about in this famous cabernet region, with its brightness and pristine purity. The wine has that Coonawarra elegance and charm, but with power and intensity coursing through every sinew. Powdery tannins and silky fine oak gather into a seamless merging of their important powers to carry the palate forward.
