St Hugo Enchanté Rosé by DR3 2024

Share

Here we have another collaboration between St Hugo and Daniel Ricciardo. Made from Mataro, this was crafted by Trina Smith who’s captured a wine of freshness and verve nicely. It’s pale salmon pink in colour with a copper hue. Fresh fruits lift from the glass in the form of strawberry, white peach, Meyer lemon and watermelon with cinnamon and a subtle orange rind twist beneath. It’s bright, fresh and moreish. The palate has lovely intensity and texture, with a solid burst of cranberry and watermelon supported by strawberry, peach skin and a glimmer of blood orange. There’s nice depth of Mataro fruit here, with a sheath of fine chalky tannins framing it all up to good length with some attractive bitter orange citrus rind through the finish. A job well done in delivering a delicious, fresh and vibrant Rosé.
