Stockman’s Ridge Rider Grüner Veltliner 2022

From a high altitude – 800 metres – vineyard on the northwestern slopes of Mount Canobolas in the Orange region, this was fermented in stainless steel, the intention being to reveal its ‘pristine varietal character’. Pale lemon hue, the nose is expansive with florals and a hint of cashews, stonefruit and minerals. The palate steps up with a good line of acidity and fine length, with the intensity maintained throughout. Delicious now but can be enjoyed any time over the next half dozen years.
