Tapanappa Chardonnay Piccadilly Valley 2023

After the stunning 2021 and 2022 vintages, could the region have hoped for the trifecta? A qualified yes. What they received was a very different style of vintage, still a superb one, but cooler and much later. It has made wines of interest, quality and intrigue. The colour is a gleaming pale lemon and the nose exhibits outstanding lifted aromas with notes of figs, peaches, orange rinds, stonefruits, river stones and cashews. This is really good drinking with a fine seductive texture, exquisite balance, good focus and elegance. Impressive length and a lingering finish. Enjoy over the next five to six years plus.
