Teakle Wines Cabernet Merlot 2023

The building blocks are firmly in place with this youngster. It’s at that gangly stage, all arms and legs and still coming together but the basis is well established with a central core of ripe, black fruit and woodsy spice. The palate is bright, medium bodied, lined in nutty, toasty oak notes and firm tannins – very Cabernet – with black fruits, spice and some lovely merlot bush florals, chocolate and plums filling out across the middle. A merger is on the cards, just a little more time.
