The Lane Vineyard Chardonnay 2023

The medium straw yellow colour usually preludes to bigger and broader wines. Not in this case! While it was aged in old barrels, it’s a bright and delicate Chardonnay that reflects the rather elegant 2023 vintage. Lifted aromatics, freshly cut green apple, pear, white peach skin, and green almonds. The palate is tight, linear, tart, and pillowy, like Greek yogurt with candied citrus rind. Gentle lime pith phenolics add interest and length to the picture.
