Voyager Estate Chardonnay 2022

Share

Gentle east facing site produces a distinctive mineral and robust style of Chardonnay and one I always enjoy. The 2022 vintage displays the chalk dust and struck blue stone character strongly with lemon peel, white peach and Monstera Deliciosa fruit. There is a coolness to the slight tropical flavour of the fruit, a bit like fresh mint in a tropical punch. The wine’s acidity is spritely and lively with a peanut shell nuttiness on the finish. The wine matures in French oak for 9 months of which 30% is new. The vineyard site shines here with oak handled well and in support of its exotic fruit spectrum. A wine drinking very well now and will age up to 5 years. Drink with mudcrab curry and roti.
