Turkey Flat Butcher’s Block Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2023

Share

This is one of the oldest properties in the Barossa and this wine came from some of those original vines on the Turkey Flat property. It’s a light to medium body but with good fruit concentration, displaying a slightly earthy sweet fruit combination that works so brilliantly. The Grenache certainly brings that aromatic lift of bright red fruits, while the Shiraz adds some plumpness and the Mataro that slightly savoury edge to the finish. It works well and is an ideal wine for drinking, perhaps best in the medium term.
