This Shiraz comes at you from a very different angle, a celebration of cool climate region viticulture and winemaking that highlights the variety in its red fruit, spicy, minerally and pithy style, quite floral to begin with red apple and cherry-like fruit suggestions, juicy and lithe. Kitchen herbals and pepper impart a seasoning effect in the palate, a dusting, almost chalky, collects the fruit and holds it for a full and long play. Arguably the Wynns wine that surprises the most in its modernity and confirms why such a traditional label keeps on keeping on with so much positive energy in its wines.
