Watkins Macclesfield Chardonnay 2021

Share

Wild ferment and whole bunch pressed fruit was sourced from the Saint-Clare Vineyard. Pomelo flesh and white peach fuzz, crumbled pumice stones and elderflower. A languid wine with a snug fit, by that I mean its flesh is tangible and poignant acidity sways in time. This is Chardonnay with something to hold onto. Ripe melon and lemon butter, candied apple and vanilla biscotti. Oak taps along keeping pace and roasted almonds finish the jibe. A good portion of malo maintains its generous depth of flavour. Drink with buttered cheese scones and a midday boogie.
