Watkins Sibling Series Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Yet another example of just how good, and what brilliant value, reds from this most underrated of regions can be. This Cabernet benefits from the inclusion of 10% Merlot and the wine spends time in a mix of both American and French oak. Dark magenta, it is appealingly perfumed with a lovely flick of oak here and good integration. The flavours weave through blackberries, cassis, chocolate and bay leaves. Richly flavoured and softly textured, this is surely the very definition of a crowd pleaser. Seamless and ever-so-fine tannins with notes of coffee beans that emerge on the palate. Very good length and such good value, this should drink superbly for the next eight years.
