The brooding power of Frankland River shiraz is the first thing that you notice in this wine – powerful olive tapenade, baked earth and white pepper fruits over a bed of sweet blackberry and subtle oak with just a touch of dusty aged aromas. It has a powerful core of fruit but is also generous and inviting. It is followed by a fleshy, ripe and complex palate with good weight and texture well balanced by supple tannins. There is some aging potential but it’s also in the prime of its life right now.
