Xanadu Vinework Chardonnay 2024

Share

This is another impressive Chardonnay that offers both class and value for money. It was a very early, hot and dry vintage, yet the Chardonnays that emerged have typically been very good—and this is one of them. After a whole bunch pressing and barrel fermentation, the wine was aged for nine months in oak, 25% of which was new. It gets a fair bit of winemaking attention and treatment. It shows lovely stone fruit nectarine aromas, with grapefruit from the Gingin clone Chardonnay and its fine minerality emerging. Balanced, medium weight, and with a lingering palate. This is a very tidy little wine.
