You would buy this wine on the label alone. The humble bee – “the superstar of the ecosystem” – is honoured with his/her own moment, and nicely captured in a striking, modern design.
Love the vitality here, the super expressive Fleurieu Peninsula shiraz so deep in purple hue and bursting in black fruits, licorice, stewed plums; it makes an immediate impression.
That youthful energy is channelled on the palate in concentrated blue and black berries, cacao and spice with earthy tannins. This wine has been made with an early release in mind and while it makes for excellent drinking now, it won’t mind a few more years in bottle either.
