Boasts the unctuous mouthfeel of McLaren Vale spice and earthiness with the peppery, bay leaf liveliness of Pyrenees – a lively, lovely combination. Flows effortlessly on the palate. Brings both precision winemaking and a relaxed sense of self. It is very much comfortable in its own skin. Black fruits are celebrated against a background of delicate spice and herbs: thyme, tarragon, bay leaf and pepper. Medium bodied, excellent tannins all plush and velvety and so, so enjoyable right now. If you can resist the urge, there is good medium-term cellaring to be had.
