Apicus Hill Denmark Pinot Noir 2022

Share

From a single vineyard in the Denmark region of Western Australia, the grapes were fermented in one-tonne parcels with twice daily plunging before ten months in new and seasoned French oak. A crimson/purple colour, the aroma is of fresh strawberries and gentle raspberries, some brambles and animal skins. As attractive as the nose is, the wine really steps up on the palate. A supple, slippery and very slurpable texture, through to silky tannins. There is then good balance, impressive length and a gentle fade to finish. Drink over the next three to five years.
