Ballandean G.F.M. 2021

A blend of Giallo, Fiano and Malvasia. A rare blend if ever there was one. Giallo is also known as Moscato Giallo or Yellow Muscat. Fiano, a warm region Italian white and Malvasia is better known as a contributor to Madeira but makes a wide range of wines. This works. Florals, apricot blossoms, hints of ginger. It is likely that much of the aroma comes from the Giallo. This wine actually has an aroma not dissimilar to a good Viognier. It is fresh and lifted, with a delightful flick of cleansing acidity. Decent length here too. Chilled, this makes for a perfect summer afternoon drink.
