From three vineyards in the Barolo municipality, including plots from the revered Castellero, this is essentially a Village style fully identifying with unmistakable Nebbiolo character. A tad darker than many, with a typical darker rose fragrance beefed up here a little with notes of juicy, meaty, sticky pan scrapes. What follows is a superbly balanced set of dark cherry fruit and orange peel flavours with neatly weighted Barolo structure, though it’s the reverberating flavours that demand most notice, rolling back and forth around the palate, swirling in the finish.
