It’s probably no surprise that Miss Piggy was the star of the show, as she’s attractive, vivacious and never shies away from the limelight. Yes, I’m talking about the Muppet and this wonderful wine. Made, like usual, from a blend of Orange Muscat and Riesling, Miss Piggy is a glorious feast for the senses. An array of luscious aromas leap from the glass right after pouring: orange blossom, grapefruit, jasmine, peach, chalk and brine. The palate is oily and bright, with a slippery mouthfeel, nervy acidity and loads of body. After a while, a flavour of macadamia nuts develop. If you can pace yourself, the wine is still excellent on the second night. It has the legs to age for years but it’d be tough not to drink it all right now.
