Bleasdale Floodgate Shiraz 2022

Share

Langhorne fruit with 15% whole berry. Matured in 10% new oak for 12 months both hogsheads and barrels. As comforting as a country homemade pie, this is channelling blueberry pie vibes. Vanilla flecked biscuit base with cinnamon and nutmeg. There is black cherries and boysenberries too. A hint of English breakfast tea and cedar. Acidity refreshes and highlights some raspberry notes. Tannins are dusty and the wine drinks very well now. This is a great every day, very flexible Shiraz, which could handle a spicy pepperoni pizza just as well as pork sausages and caramelised onion sambos.
