Brockenchack Hare Hunter Pinot Noir 2018

Share

This Pinot is sourced from a single vineyard which was planted in the Eden Valley in 2012. The vines have been planted at an altitude of 450 to 480 metres. The name comes from the number of hares which congregate in the vineyard and are the target of the Harch’s grandsons, although apparently their success is, to date, minimal.

A soft red colour with sappy aromatics. Soft brambles, raspberries, bay leaves, red cherries, some earthy notes, coffee grinds and tobacco leaf. A Pinot with good focus, there is line and impressive length, fine tannins and juicy acidity. The acidity really works with that sappiness.
