Brokenwood IV Mendoza Chardonnay 2023

This is the first release of this wine from Beechworth since 2016. It was whole-bunch pressed and fermented in all French oak of which 40% was new. Malolactic fermentation just happened and the wine was regularly stirred building aromatic and textural complexity. There is real Mendoza clone power here but with a high degree of elevated finesse and purity. A lot happening here and with age, a lot more will become apparent.
