Brown Brothers Patricia Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Brut 2021

Spring blossom and lemon sorbet aromas begin the experience of this beautiful cool climate sparkling from one of the highest altitude King Valley sites. It goes on to reveal fluffy Victoria sponge topped with sliced strawberries and soft swirls of cream – the red fruit of the Pinot Noir dominant blend really shines. In the mouth, the bubbles gently trickle over the tongue. There’s a crunchy minerality and both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have strong representation in the melange of cranberry, redcurrant, yuzu and white nectarine. Made using the traditional method with five years of aging on lees contributes flavours of rustic sourdough – rich and satisfying. It’s a food friendly style of sparkling with the structure and flavour concentration to extend well past aperitif hour; try it with fritto misto.
