Chain of Ponds Corkscrew Road Chardonnay 2019

This wine is so well pitched and a tribute to the work of Greg Clack with high quality cool climate fruit, well handled and seamlessly integrated with quality oak. It’s a crowd pleaser too with an attractive blend of citrus and peach skin fruits lifted by nougat barrel ferment and vanilla bean oak. On the palate the fruit is generous and underpinned with bright but well integrated acidity before quite a long and elegant finish. It’s at peak right now especially matched up with a mixed seafood mornay.
