Chain of Ponds The Cachet Pinot Noir 2022

A wave of red fruit characters with a spicy lift strike immediately indicating something special awaits. The winemaking techniques were quite complex with the aim of really massaging the fruit through to achieve the best expression of the Adelaide Hills. Aromas of strawberry and red currant with a deeper dark cherry character. There’s a slightly chalky tannin and smoky oak adding further to the complex weave. Still with a firm core but the warm wrap of fleshy fruit is attractive. Very long focussed finish.
