Château Tanunda 50-Year-Old Vines Barossa Shiraz 2020

Share

This is one big, powerful Barossa Shiraz. A multitude of scents and flavours awaits. Woodsy spice, tobacco, dark earth, black fruits and aniseed aromas are rich and intense. There’s a darkness to the palate, so much so, it’s almost Gothic! Dark fruits, dark African and Eastern spices, savoury game notes and leather are embedded, running deep and long. Twenty months in oak indicates a wine that the winemaker considered ripe and rich and therefore worthy of the extra time in oak. It certainly laps it up. Still has plenty of go left in the tank.
